SIS is gearing up for a few changes. (Good ones. We promise!) You can help us by taking the 'poll' located in the right-hand column.
*Please be honest. The poll is anonymous.
Thanks so much!

Six Things Writers Need To Stop Worrying About

Just curious --- why the vote? Because you ladies are getting bogged down trying (as, from my perspective, you all do SO well) to keep up with the demands of this blog? Or has some (oh! did the word "cretin" come out?!? Sorry!) body cast some less-than-complimentary words towards your "Cafe Chaos" sections? Well, verbose old me, voting "Yes" didn't allow me enough latitude.
If the reason is the former, then I definitely understand. I have been impressed with how well you all have kept this blog, as well as its many sections, filled day-to-day with words that rise HIGH above the "Crap! I have to write SOMEthing TODAY, SO ... 'Blah? Blah, blah BLAH! Blah blah blah blah blah blah DRIVEL!:) Blah, Blah.'" that fills the majority of blogs. Though I may not always comment, I have yet to keep myself from visiting, at the least, knowing that I'll be both entertained and intrigued every day. Well, except Sundays ... Sundays can get pretty boring.
If the reason is the latter, I'm amazed. Your random thoughts, being as interesting as they are, are bits and parts of each of your thoughts and lives. The "Cafe Chaos" sections give ME, anyway, a glance into what "gets you through the day." And that little peek into your "mundane/day-to-day" existence, so to speak, shows me as much about your characters and lives as expounding about Great Truths does. Face it --- you can LOVE and RESPECT an author for their works and their insights and their humanity ... but, wouldn't it be cool to find out that, say, one of Stephen King's "guilty pleasures" is watching "Pretty Woman" or listening to John Tesh albums? In my opinion, it's at LEAST as interesting and important what our artists do when they're NOT working as when they are.
I TRULY hope to see Cafe Chaos remain ... well, unless it's for the first reason I mentioned ... then I'll just have to whine to myself about losing it.
P.S. Please don't hate me if, should I see the vote going astray (read: any way BUT "yes"!), I will probably find a way to vote a few times each day:)!
Hi, Richard,
I should have offered a more specific reason. We're not going anywhere. Nor have there been any complaints. It's all good. Honest! More sisters are offically coming on board, so it means looking at our weekly schedule, shifting things around a bit. Just trying to get a feel for if people enjoy the music, book and movie recs, that's all.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments. You've been so supportive and interactive. Much appreciated!

Beth, Brenda and Barb/Elle (Perhaps I shouldn't put the two names together like that because I make you sound like workout equipment.)
I like hearing your takes on books, music and movies, but I don't need you to continue them weekly if you want to make room for other sisters.
Maybe random subjects from lots of sisters and a couple of times a month do recommendations?
Mary,
I had to read it twice to get it. Barb/Elle...now that's stinkin' funny!
SIS Barb
Mary,
I was thinking the same thing. More individual posts and then on Saturdays, each SIS could choose either a book, movie or music which they would like to recommend.
Thanks for the input!
SIS Bren
'K --- I'll take a deep breath ... and REVEL in the fact that it's MAINLY about taking on more "boarders"! What a CLAN you have!! I'm VERY jealous/ENVIOUS ... and look forward to the output of the "conclave."
BUT ... PLEASE ... give at LEAST one day to all for "Other Media" suggestions;-)!
Oh, and Mary -- "Barb/Elle" !!! ROFLMAO!! That is frickin' HILARIOUS!!! Gotta keep THAT "nom de plume" goin'!:)
