SIS Barb says:
I was reading someone's update on FB yesterday and they referenced a song. An oldie but a goodie if you like this sort of music and back in the late 80's and early 90's I really liked this type of music. Definitely brought back some great and some not so great memories.
My Pick of the Week: Guns 'n Roses
They had so many incredible hits. Hits that you'll never forget the words to. If one of their songs popped up on the radio right now, I'd crank it and sing.
Recommended Album: Appetite for Destruction
My Favorite Songs: Welcome to the Jungle and Sweet Child O' Mine
SIS Bren Says: Okay, I came here all ready to post my book pick and saw that it is music day! What was I thinking? Now I have to come up with something quick. This should be easy since music has always been such an important part of my life. Give me a second...Let me think...
My Pick of the Week... The Dave Matthews Band
I've loved this band ever since they first hit the music scene. Different, intriguing, incredibly talented. When you hear one of their songs, you know undeniably that it is them. Such a unique sound. My son brought home their latest and we listened to it a few times on our trip to Indiana.
Recommended Album: Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King
Favorite Songs: Funny The Way It Is, Why I Am
SIS Beth says:
Like everyone, I have a few favorite performers that can do know wrong. I love their style, their energy and stage presence, their voice, and song selections. I am a forever fan!
My pick this week: Cyndi Lauper
I've loved Cyndi FOREVER! A couple of years ago I finally got to hear/see her perform live. A-mazing. Here she is, performing a particular fave of mine. (give it a sec to start)

Barb,Bren, and Beth; I love all your picks. Beth you know how much I love Cyndi. She is one of my all time favorites.
I'm still on my apparently never-ending Big Band kick.
But yesterday was Debbie Gibson's 39th birthday! How the heck did that happen????
Hey BJ,
I know you like my pic, we use to jam out together once upon a time!
SIS Barb
Tori,
Shall I sing again??? I know you want to hear it!
me, me, me, me...I GET LOST, IN YOUR EYES. AND I FEEL MY SPIRITS RISE...
Bowing,
SIS Barb
Barb, I still jam to them when I hear them on the radio.
I guess I was to much of a popster. Never really got into Guns N' Roses. Dave Matthews on the other hand... Love him and his band. Actually, Bren, I think it was you who turned me onto him many moons ago.
BJ--I got a chance to see Cyndi live a couple of years ago. She sounded and looked as great as ever. Oh, to have her energy (and voice)!
Tori--Debbie Gibson's 39? Wow. I suddenly feel ancient.
SIS Beth
That's how I felt when I realized how old she was, Beth. I don't have trouble thinking of Madonna or Cyndi Lauper in their 50s, but Debbie Gibson should still be 16. *g*
I love Sweet Child Of Mine from Guns n Roses! And of course I love Cyndi Lauper. Time After Time is one of my all time favorite songs.
As for Debbie Gibson, WOW! Now I feel old too!
SIS Bren
Ah, but Debbie Gibson will always be older than me, so I'm good with that.
SIS Barb
Welcome to the Jungle is awesome! And, Beth, thank you for posting Cyndi's song. I really enjoyed it!
I know Olga! I love that song.
