Autumn Wishes

Friday, September 11, 2009

The woods are full of fairies;
The sea is full of fish;
The trees are full of golden leaves;
Let's make an Autumn wish.
Anonymous

The Woodland Elves are singing
The glorious song of change.
They bring about the Autumn winds
And the turning of the leaves.
Aleena Ravenwood

Fall is my favorite season. I love it when the air cools and the leaves start changing colors. Nature paints Hers trees with the colors of russets, golds, dark reds and nut browns. It is a beautiful work of art. Autumn is also a time of abundance. Farmers markets are full of wonderful fruits and vegetables as the harvest season draws to a close.

My Autumn wish? Abundance! Not of money (though that would be nice). But of good health, fun, laughter and good times with family.

" Not what we have but what we enjoy, constitutes our abundance." Epicurus

" Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into." Wayne Dyer

What are your Autumn Wishes?

BJ,

What a way to start my day. I absolutely love my surprise! It's delightful. I'm not sure if you want me to share it with anyone but please know how much I adored it!!! Please send me more.

My autumn wish is that it will be a very long season and keep winter at bay as long as possible!

By the way, I'm posting one of these poems you've shared today to my Facebook page. Guess which one?

BJ, I LOVE that poem. You should share Aleena's work with us more often. :)

I also liked your thoughts on autumn, my favorite season! My autumn wish? Good health, peace and joy to those close to me and better times for my fellow man.

My wish? Stability! The last year has felt unstable and out of my control. I don't like it!
I need some dust of stability sprinkled on me and all my loved ones!!!

My wish for fall is that everyone stays health and those who are sick get better.

Hey michael! Where have you been hiding? Good wish! But don't worry, all of your aunts are gonna hit the lottery and fix your dad!!! Read back to Wednesday's post!!!

Love your Anonymous poem, BJ. I love Autumn too just not winter, which follows it, so much.

Hmmm, I wish for peace, major chores done, and quiet time to write. :-)

BJ, you summed up everything I love about fall. A perfect post, A+ (can you tell autumn's my favorite season too?). My only wish is that I take in as much of the essence of autumn as I can!

Hi Taylor, It always seems that autumn goes by way too fast. Thankyou for the A+.

BJ,

I've never really thought about it, but I like autumn best too. It's beautiful, good temps, halloween, thanksgiving... Now I am in the mood for the orchard or a farmers market!!

Brandy, You should go to the pupmkin patch and go through the corn maze. The kids will love it.

Hi B.J.

Great poems! I, too, love Autumn. I only wish that our leaves would change down here as they do in the North. I love when the air starts to change.

My Autumn wish is also for abundance...
of love
of healing
of human kindness
and I absolutely have to agree with Brandy! STABILITY PLEASE!

Hi Brenda, I love the smell of the salty air in Florida. I bet you have the most beautiful sunsets there.

This world could use alot of human kindness.

Beautiful poems! As for Autumn wishes, once my best friend said her biggest wish was for us and our loved ones to be alive and healthy. I'll second that.
