Cranky Brandy

Tuesday, March 23, 2010

Right now I am sitting in the Atlanta airport. I just flew from Seattle to here overnight. That flight was horrible. Now I am waiting to board my next flight to Richmond. From there, I will make a two hour drive to where I will be working. After cleaning up, I will be working until at least 9 tonight.

My brain is fried. My body is fried. I am so tired of my job!! Really, I am just plain done. I am fed up with the constant running... the stress... the uncertainty of everything. Something has to change - I can't do it anymore. I have a lot of decisions to make.

So anyway, that is my bitch for the day!! What is yours? What are you fed up with? What needs to change in your life?

Hi Brandy

Hang in there. I will be sending you positive energy in hopes that things will change for the better soon. There are some things in my life that need to change or I feel I will go mad. Can't get into details at this moment, but I'm working toward change for the good.

Hugs, sweetie!!!

I'm mostly fed up with my health problems and my body. I started exercising yesterday. I'll probably even do it again today. LOL!

Wow, where do I start? On a personal level, definitely my health and my relationship with Wendy needs work (nothing major), and on a more general level...Well lets see, all people in this country should be able to enjoy the same rights and privileges as everyone else; the people we elected to represent us need to figure out how to get things accomplished and learn how to get along like civilized adults, as do a lot of the people in this country on both sides of the political spectrum; we need to stop treating the environment like our own personal playground/wastebasket; the Catholic Church needs to seriously crack down on the perverts that it doesn't seem too concerned about at the moment; and last but not least, Spring and/or Summer needs to get here like now!

Other than that, I'm good.......

Aw, Brandy.... Sending a cyber hug your way. Sounds like you wrote this in the midst of serious jet lag. Your travel schedule would beat up even the staunchest traveler. And as relentless as it has been... I totally understand why you'd be fed up and burned out. Any chance you can explore some new career avenues?

Sounds like everyone is wound tight and wrung out. I confess I, too, have a reason to be frustrated and depressed. I wallowed for about three days then, as of yesterday pulled my self up by my bootstraps. There are people with far greater problems than I. FAR greater. Putting it in perspective helped. Adopting an aggressive positive attitude helped.

Don't let what plagues you, beat you, Brandy (and all). Put on your creative hat and don your battle gear (or in Tori's case, your yoga pants). And in the wise words of Barb/Elle... RIDE THAT BULL!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Cranky Brandy,

I hear you...sometimes, it all just gets to be too much. Weigh it all out and then make your decisions. You are an incredibly intelligent and hard-working woman. You'll always come out on top, sometimes you just need to wrestle (or wrassle as Grandpa would say) a little harder.

My gripe is always the same. Not enough time, oh and then there's the thing that I am always not happy with that I really don't care to bring up. Someday, it will all be good.

I hope your week gets better, Brandy! I sympathize about your job situation. When I was younger, I tried just about every kind of job out there (from retail to childcare, and from a librarian's assistant to a secretarial position). Eventually I was able to land a couple of jobs where I got paid for writing. Barely. Heh.

Sometimes it takes a while to find your comfortable niche. Or, if not exactly comfortable, one that isn't quite so stressful. Okay, actually you'll ALWAYS have stress one way or another - even when you're doing what you love to do. But, at least, it'll a contented kind of stress.

My favorite motto of ALL TIME has always been 'where there's a will, there's a way'. If a wall is blocking your view, roll up your sleeves and grab a sledge hammer. Getting out of a rut just takes faith in yourself... and a helluva lot of patience.
