Just Ramblings

Thursday, January 28, 2010

Not a whole lot going on right now. I can't seem to even come up with somrthing to blog about, so I will just ramble.

I finally got my car back from the shop. I missed my little car. The rental they gave me was a too big for my tatse. The insurance company couldn't get anything right so it took a little longer than usual to get my car in the shop.

Business is slow where I work. My boss is thinking of closing both stores down. I feel bad for him because he has had his stores for over 20 years. It is going to be hard for him to do something else. Of course that means I have to go job hunting. Something that I am not looking forward to.

The sun is now shining its warming light every now and then. I wish the weather could make up its mind. We have had snow, rain, freezing rain, warm weather and now bitterly cold weather all within a couple weeks. Very confusing on the body.

That's it for my ramblings. Do you have any?

Hi, BJ,

Glad you finally got your car back. Insurance companies can be such a pain.

Sorry to hear your boss may have to close his stores. What a drag. Damn these hard economic times. If you do have to job hunt, I hope you find something fabulous and fun--or at least nice and comfortable. :-)

The weather's been crazy here too. Lots of rain and chill. Suppose to have snow this weekend. Bleh.

My ramble? Well, I'm insanely busy at the library. They have me working on a project that will keep me hopping for days. As far as writing, I'm still struggling with that synopsis. Determined to finish it this weekend. Got my hair colored again (pesky grey roots). This time it's a deep, dark red. I like it a lot! Steve's workng hard and the pups and kitty are as crazy as ever. Pretty much life is status quo!

Hi Beth

Thanks for the well wishes on the job hunt. Hope you at least have fun on the Library project.

My hair is in need of new color. Thinking of getting blonde highlights. Maybe I will match my girls a little better.

Happy to here all is going well with your fam!

I'm so sorry about your boss's stores. So much of that is happening and never good.

We have actual sun today and that's nice.

I picked up my Bogie's ashes today and they included a plaster cast of his paw print. I lost it in the vet's office and yep, it still hurts.

Hi Linda

Sorry to hear about your beloved Bogie. The loss of a loved one is always hard whether human or furkin.

Hugs re the possibility of job hunting.

Not a lot going on here aside from the winter weather warning we're under. Hope we don't have another horrid ice storm like we had last year.

Ooo! I love to ramble. Thankfully, all my rambling is good these days (except for this one small thing).

Job is good, family is good, writing is coming along (Big thanks to Linda Wisdom!) Looking forward to spring...It is right around the corner, I swear.

Okay, here's my little thing. (I've been called judgmental a lot lately. Should I have to lower my expectations? Why? It's just my opinion and I'm entitled! Right?

Thanks. It's been a tough couple of weeks, but I do have Barney and he's made it easier.

Rambling can be fun because you never know what you'll say.

And thanks Elle. I'm glad I was able to help.

B.J.,

Sorry that you may be job hunting. It's never a fun thing and especially not in these times. I guess try to look at it as an adventure and maybe a door opening for something great! Good Luck.

Linda,
So sorry to hear about Bogie. It's a hard time but glad you have Barney to help ease the pain.

Barb,
I don't think of you as judgemental or opinionated for that matter. I think a lot of occurences in your life have caused you to have the opinions you have and most likely, rightly so. Ask yourself this...are you asking something of others that you wouldn't ask or expect of yourself?

Beth,
Good luck with your task at the library and good luck with your synopsis! I'm sure it will be great. I'm sure the red locks are beautiful.

Tori,
Wishing you warmer weather and NO ICE STORMS!

Olga,
Red hair rocks. I was lucky enough to be born with it, though these days I need a little help in keeping it red.
