All in a Day's Work

Tuesday, January 12, 2010
I feel like I have been so out of the loop!! The last week or so, I have had technical problems with my internet. Between that and working late nights I didn't even get a chance to check the SIS site. I just now read yesterday's post. Welcome home Dizzy! I was feeling so bad for Brenda and then all of a sudden... he's home!!!

So anyway... I have been all over the place over the last couple of days. We had to make a mad rush from one account to the other. It was quite interesting.

Sunday was the last day of the sale in VA. We worked until 7pm. From there we headed up to CT. We had to run a training session first thing Monday morning, so there was no time to spare! So we packed 6 people and our luggage into a rental van and headed out! (I was plenty comfy - I got shotgun!)

We made pretty good time - got to our hotel at 2AM. After a short "nap" I was up and ready for the meeting. Then there was setup at the dealership, visiting with personnel, blah blah blah. I am tired!!!

The best part of the last two days..... NEW YORK CITY!!! I had never seen it. The whole trip I was so excited to just be able to even drive around it. I wanted to see the lights, the buildings, everything. The route we took didn't give me a chance to really really see everything, but I still got some great views. It gave me butterflies.

What have I missed out on this last week? Anyone have anything going on I should know about? Anybody do anything exciting? Fill me in!!!

Brandy,

When I was 17, Beth invited me to come to Long Island, NY and visit with her and her husband's family. I was so excited and couldn't wait to see the skyscrapers. I had spent most of my life around corn and soy bean fields and had never really been to a big city.

As we were flying in, I looked out my window and was in awe at the size of the buildings. I commented to the man next to me that I couldn't believe how tall they were. He gave me a little quirky smile and pointed the other direction and said "Look out that window". OMG! I had been looking at apartment buildings! I really could not believe how tall the real skyscrapers were! I love NYC and can't wait to get back there.

Any chance you'll be able to take a bus or train in while you're in CT? You would love it!

As for me, not much going on. Sang back ups for Elvis and then spent two very cold, devastating days yelling my self hoarse trying to find the Dizzer. I'm so relieved he is home.

Brenda,

I am so happy you found Dizzy. I can imagine how upset you were.

It would be great if we could co to NYC for an evening. We are only an hour away. I don't think it will happen though. We always work pretty late.

Jeremy Northam showed up at my door, I dragged him inside and we ... oh wait, that was a dream.

I finished catch up stuff yesterday and meeting my sil in for lunch today. We try to get together about once a month for our own girl talk.

Hi Brandy, I love NYC. I remember when Beth took Barb and me there for a day. The NYC trip inspired me to write my Senior paper on the homeless.

So happy for Bren on finding Dizzy.

Not much going on here besides some kid rearending my car as it was parked in front of my house Friday night. Thank goodness he has insurance.

Hi Brandy,

First off let me say that Linda totally cracked me up with her comment.

NYC is fabulous. Gotta love that city!

Nothing going on here other than a lot of laundry. Sad, isn't it?

I love Linda's comment too. I could use a dream like that!

I've been told I have an overactive imagination, she says tongue firmly tucked in cheek
