Last night I watched the pilot of "The Gates". I was hoping I'd enjoy it as I do love my vampires. I'm happy to say that I really liked it. I like their spin on vamps and weres. Very interesting. I think the cast is pretty but not too, if you know what I mean. I like the shy awkwardness of some of the teenagers and the issues within the adult relationships.
I hope this show continues. There is a lot they could do within "The Gates".
Did anyone else watch? What were your thoughts? What else is everyone watching this summer?

I watched Scoundrels and thought that was going to be good. I didn't watch The Gates, but my husband did and he didn't care for it. He thought it was weird.
I'm looking forward to this next season of The Closer. A great cast, and I love Kyra Sedgwick's character.

Sorry, Elle, vampires have never appealed to me so didn't bother watching it. Had too much going on with Father's Day dinner too.

I'm not familiar with Scoundrels. I'll have to look into it. I agree with your husband. The Gates was weird, but I liked it!
I've heard great things about The Closer and I love Kyra Sedgwick in general.

I really wanted to like True Blood, but after the first 3 episodes I gave up. Perhaps I should have hung in there!

I think you either love vampires or hate them. I've never heard anyone say they were on the fence. Hope Father's Day dinner was delicious.

I commented earlier but it disappeared. I wanted to watch The Gates, but missed it. I will have to watch it on-line. I love the new show The Good Guys. It's a funny show about two cops, one old school, the other new.
I watched The Gates and really enjoyed it. I loved the fresh ways of dealing with vampires and werewolves. I'm already looking forward to next Sunday. :)

I'm seriously considering not watching anything, and here's why: Every time a new show comes along and I get interested in it, it ultimately gets canceled after one season or less! A few examples: Three Rivers, The Forgotten, Happy Town, and Moonlight, and there's more. It's depressing, I tell you!

I've been burned too many times by ABC canceling shows I love so I didn't bother trying to watch it. I'm still somewhat surprised Castle is still around.

I love the Forgotten and Happy Town. I didn't know they canceled Happy Town. I was sad when they canceled Moonlight.
Castle is a great show. I missed the first season, but tried to catch as many as I could this past season. Their chemistry is fantastic!
