Non-Fat Vanilla Latte With One Pump Raspberry

Monday, February 8, 2010
Coffee has taken over the world. There was a time when I said I would never touch the stuff, yet I've been sucked in along with everyone else. It's become a habit. One I look forward to every morning and lately, in the evening too. (It's always fun to add Bailey's at night!)

Coffee time has become an event. Sharing a cup with friends and family is always wonderful but I've found it equally pleasing to have a cup with no one but my own company. I drink it when I write, read, put on my make-up, soak in the tub, drive in the car, at work and at my favorite coffee shops. Which leads me to my favorite flavors.

At Caribou, I enjoy a large non-fat vanilla latte with one pump of raspberry or their scrumptious Mint Condition.

At Starbucks, I'm still, after all these years, hooked on their Venti Caramel Macchiato.

At home, I love french vanilla creamer with my hazelnut coffee or a chai tea latte. The options are endless!

I have this fantastic idea, one I probably shouldn't share because I think it could make me rich but alas, I don't have the time to pull this off. One of these coffee shops should offer alcoholic coffee drinks in the evening. Imagine going to dinner with your husband or a friend and then heading over to a wonderfully rustic coffee-shop for after dinner drinks. Light music, comfy chairs and great ambience. I so see that being successful, but that's just me.

So tell me...Do you coffee? When, where, what, why and with who?

Excuse me, I need to go get a cup of coffee before I answer this.

Lolol! I love coffee. I love it strong and rich. I don't do wimpy coffee.

You make me jealous, Elle. We don't have a Stabucks or the like, in our little fly speck town. They do have one over on the Army Post where my husband works, but that's 30 miles away. I've taken to making my own additives/flavors to my coffee. I'm not big on vanilla additives, but I love a shot of raspberry, I like white chocolate mocha.

I usually have a couple or three cups in the morning and I probably two cups in the evening. Yes, I've been know to add a bit of brandy, or smooth whiskey to it. I make a mean Coffee Coyote--Brandy, Kaluaha, Coffee, real cream, and if I'm feeling frivolous, I'll add whip cream to the top with shaved chocolate. Yum.

Sia,

I'm very lucky. We have too many coffee shops to count. I named the larger chains but we have several mom and pop like places too. Love them all!

I soooo want to try one of those Coffee Coyote's! As far as coffee count goes, you may have me beat by a cup of two.

I LOVE coffee. At home I use Gloria Jeans coffee. They have yummy flavors and I keep several bags here. If I don't make it to their store, I order on line.

And I have several Starbucks, It's A Grind and other coffee places around, so I don't have to worry.

My absolute favorite is peppermint mochoa

I can't stand coffee in any way, shape or form. I've tried. But I just do not like the way it tastes. I'll stick with my Diet Coke. :)

Hi Linda,

I forgot about Gloria Jeans. They have the best smelling coffee!

Hi Tori,

I know how much you love your Diet Coke. Everyone time I see someone drinking it. it reminds me of you. Isn't that funny?

JAVA! As you know I am a freak for coffee. Steve jokes that I should just hook up an IV to the coffee pot. I could easily keep up with Sia!

I actually enjoy my coffee black. Black and strong. Hazelnut and French Vanilla are faves and something called Sumatra. Not too long ago Steve brought home a few different flavors from a place that grinds the beans for you. One of the flavors was Banana Nut. YUM! And also Italian Christmas Cookie. Also, yummy!

No Starbucks on my little island or any other cool coffee place for the matter. A treat for me is Duncan Donuts coffee--French Vanilla with a couple spoonfuls of sugar. How sad is that?!

Hi Beth,

I'm telling you. You soooo need to open a coffee shop on that island. You'd probably make a lot of money and give WAWA a run for theirs.

I bet that banana nut was great!

I so coffee. Usually in the morning, but sometimes I sip through the day. So far, French Vanilla is high on my list. I also like Amaretto creamer (non-alcoholic, lol). Interesting idea, btw!

Yes, Olga! Amaretto creamer is delicious!

You like my idea? Someday, someone will do it and I'll think, "That was my idea!"

I love coffee also. At home I just drink regular old folgers with just sugar. My favorite Starbucks is same as Barb. Caramel Macciatto but with extra caramel. Right now, I am hooked on the cans of Starbucks double shot energy drinks they sell at the gas stations!!! The mocha flavor is terrific!

Hey Brandy,

Your Folgers kills me every time. Thank goodness "hair" knows where the nearest Starbucks is!

Double shot energy drinks? I can't even imagine. Are you totally bouncing off walls or what?
