Blah Blah Blog

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

Nothing. I’ve got nothing. Nothing to write about, nothing to complain about. Actually, I have plenty to complain about, but who wants to hear that?

Good things? Sure. There are good things happening too, but nothing so exciting that I feel the need to write about them.

We could talk about the weather, I suppose. It’s cold here and cold there and lots of snow there and none here. Okay, covered that.

We could talk about American Idol. I was so glad to finally see Ellen Degeneres on the show. She’s hysterical. I really enjoy her comedy and I think she will add much to the show.

Um….Oh! Happy was voted most honest in his class. He’ll receive an award at the school assembly later this month. Barb asked him if he voted for himself. “Yes”, he said, honestly. That’s my guy!

I guess that’s it. We’ve been working 16 hour days so it doesn’t seem as though I’ve been experiencing much life lately. No time to think, no time to relax, no time to be inspired I guess.

Oh, one more thing. I used a jack hammer the other night. It’s my second time actually. I guess that’s something that not a lot of women can say. I’m not sure it’s really something to brag about, but it is definitely something everyone should experience.

How’s your day? What’s going on in your world?

Hey Brenda,

I've had those days when I can't decide on a blog topic. Blah, bleh, blah.

Congrats to Happy! So proud! As awards go, that's a really special one.

What's new with me? Well, another snow storm blew in so they closed the library. A day off for me. Yay! Using it to work on another book proposal... PLUS, I wrote a new post on our ANIMAL TALES page. Please check it out everyone! (especially Barb)

Oh! And check out the new Adopt-a-Pet banner in the side bar of this page. :) OH! And did anyone notice the new 'Words to Live By' quote in the side bar. Barb turned me on to that. Is that great or what?

Hi Bren

Sounds like you are working hard. Congrats to Happy. Sounds like my Monster. She tells the truth all the time. I can't get angry with her when she is so truthful.

I don't think I could handle a jack hammer. You go girl!

Oh yeah, those days.

Today my mom and I will get our nails done. Mine will look pretty for my lecture at the college tomorrow. :} And we'll have lunch afterwards.

Hm, and I need to finish up my notes for tomorrow.

It's cold outside, I'd like to stay home. Yes, Southern CA gets cold!

Curling up with a book sounds good.

I'm battling Asian beetles (they look sort of like ladybugs only they aren't) that are getting into the house. They are VERY annoying. I guess they're trying to escape the cold weather and snow, but that's just too bad. They should take their chances outside. Inside? They're guaranteed to die. *g*

Hi everyone!

Bren,
I agree. Love Ellen on Idol!

Very cool about the adopt a pet, Beth. And of course, I love the WORDS TO LIVE BY!

BJ,
We should all try a jack hammer and videotape it!

Linda,
How cold is it? Just curious and have fun at the lecture!

Tori,
I hate those beetles. We get them all the time, mainly in the fall. Big pain in the arse!

Beth,

Glad you got the day off, though I'm sure you didn't need more snow. Love the Words to Live By!

B.J.,

Oh, you must experience the thrill of the power of the jack hammer. Every girl should just have one hangin around the house...you know...to let the men know who the boss is.

Linda,

I hope your nails (and your mom's too) came out beautiful! Good luck with your lecture!

If you're like me, I'm sure you are ready for your weather to be more like Southern Californian weather. I live in Florida, but it's been pretty chilly here as well.

Tori,

Asian Beetles? I picture little bugs with some ninja clothes and samurai swords. How could you hurt those little guys? Hee Hee

Barb,

If you'd like, I'll trade you the roaches that sometimes wander in for the Asian Beetles any day. (HEY! Is that the guy?)

It was 35 at 7am and got up to almost 60. And luckily, no rain tomorrow and should be about 60 again. Whew on that since I don't know where I'll be parking at the school and how far I'll have to walk carrying a bag of books to sign.

And my nails do look pretty. :}

Been a chew toy for Barney this afternoon. That dog loves to play.

Jack hammer. So, how were your shoulders the next day? And once you finished, did you still feel the vibrations, I did.

Sounds like life as usual Bren. No worries, even that's interesting when it's someone else's mundane and not ours, lolol!

Hi Sia,

No wonder construction guys have nice arms. And yes, the vibrations continued for a while.

It's true that other people's lives can seem more interesting, even though to them their life seems blah.

A jackhammer, hmm? That's a big step up from a guitar, but I'm sure you can handle it. If I did it I know I'd brag about it. Sorry you're working so much and have little time for other things, but I suppose it would be worse if it were the opposite.
