Thoughts

Thursday, September 9, 2010
Thoughts, both mundane and spiritual, have been written in my journal. I have just recently started to keep one. I find it a refreshing way to end my day. I pay attention to things around me more. I notice that there are messages to be heard, image's to be seen. These things might have slid by me in the past, but now that I write about the things that go on throughout my day, they seem to pop up everywhere.

Something someone might say to me could have deeper meaning. A spider on a web might be an image that can lead to a poem (or a very funny moment). A scent might transport be back in time and remind me of better times. What I experience throughout my day goes right into my journal. Some day, many years from now, someone might find my journal and be inspired by it. Through my journal and my poems, I will live forever. That is true immortality.

Do you keep a journal?

The closest I come to journaling is my blog every day. :)

BJ,

I don't keep a journal. I think the main reason is that I don't want anyone to know all of my thoughts. I fear that if I wrote in one and it was ever found, some feelings would be hurt and I don't think I'd want that.

However, I bet people who do write down their thoughts are healthier.
