Autumn's Blessings

Thursday, September 23, 2010
The sacred wheel turns once again
Autumn has settled across the land.

Golden, russet, and crimson leaves
Blanket the land as they fall from trees.

The bountiful harvest fills our cups
We pour them forth when we've had enough.

As we gaze in wonder at the darkening skies
Autumns blessings fill our lives.

Building fires under the moon
Dancing with loved ones, what a boon!

*Aleena Ravenwood*

May our days be blessed and bountiful this harvest season.
And may my beautiful Smurfette have a wonder birthday.

Thank you for the poem (beautiful!) and the blessing, BJ. This is my favorite time of year! Although--it's unseasonably hot and humid here today. *sigh*

Happy, happy birthday to Smurfette!!

And the same to you, sister.

88 degrees today but tomorrow will be much more fall like. My boots are happy about that. Not so sure how I feel.

BJ.

Thanks for sharing another one of your beautiful poems. I love Autumn also, not that we really have one here. But there's just something about this time of year that puts a spring in my step.

Happy Birthday Smurfette!

A poem with a benediction. Blessings to you too BJ.

We're just beginning to get a hint of Autumn here, oh, not in the turning of the leaves, that won't happen for another couple of weeks, but the animals are doing their autumn thing of gathering and flocking.

I'm not looking forward to winter, but I do love the fall.
