I'd want to be Mac from Karen Marie Moning's BLOOD FEVER series. I want to be me and be in the story, interacting with characters, having the adventures, the love affair, etc. Essentially, I'd kick the heroine out of the book (and out of the hero's arms and bed) and replace her with me. :-) Ok, but in a totally non-creepy way and not like one of those weird movies where the nanny or the roommate wants to take over the woman's life.Mary Stellanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650695048667568375.post-10930430802204077502009-11-25T14:42:20.447-05:002009-11-25T14:42:20.447-05:00Oh, I want to be Daisy Dalrymple in the mystery se...Oh, I want to be Daisy Dalrymple in the mystery series by Carola Dunn. Set in the 1920s, she's the daughter of a viscount, married to a Chief Detective Inspector, who always gets involved in her husband's cases which drives him crazy but he adores her so he puts up with it. :)Tori Lennoxhttp://www.torilennox.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650695048667568375.post-84487568491317466082009-11-25T11:51:04.845-05:002009-11-25T11:51:04.845-05:00One I read recently, Carolyn Brown's, Getting ...One I read recently, Carolyn Brown's, Getting Lucky. It was one of those books that created such a real world, you felt like all you had to do is get in the car and drive to Texas and you'd find all these people. I loved Julie and especially Alvera.

The world of Pern, created by Anne McCaffrey, is another *place* Ilove to visit periodically. Like a small vacation. I fell in love with Robinton and Ruath.

No matter what I'm doing, I need to read. It refreshes my mind. If I'm busy, it may take me a week to finish the book (where normally I'd have it done in two days or less), but I need the escape. the changing gears, so to speak.

Hope your holidays are grand, Bren. Hope you and your family can all meet for the holidays. We need that loving safety net as much as a good book. :-)~Sia McKye~https://www.blogger.com/profile/08470562659597351033noreply@blogger.com
