Probably my favorite was being a kid at the Harvest Homecoming each year. It was put on by the city, not a church. It felt like a festival and not a carnival. The leaves had changed, the cooler weather was definitely present, and pumpkins were everywhere. That's where I had my first caramel apple and chocolate covered bananas. LOL

Now, as an adult, I've been to North Carolina in October thanks to Krystoff and his family. I can say that as great as Harvest Homecomings were, and jumping into a pile of leaves at my Grandmother's house, there's nothing like being in the mountains in Autumn. The Blue Ridge Mountains has by far the prettiest scenery EVER. The layers upon layers of trees with the different color leaves look like a crocheted blanket when viewed from the right angle.

All in all, Autumn is my second favorite season and one that is truly missed living in Florida. I will always be grateful that I grew up knowing what Autumn can be and reveling in it as a kid, which is when it's best enjoyed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650695048667568375.post-44902666725620273262010-09-04T22:37:53.793-04:002010-09-04T22:37:53.793-04:00BJ - I've only been horseback riding twice in ...BJ - I've only been horseback riding twice in my life, both times in NC.
