I love God's creatures great and small but if a scorpion or a land crab infringes on my turf, war has been declared!

Great book recommendations. I'm excited that Out of Eden is showing up everywhere. Beth, I finished reading it last night. LOVE the final version!

Count me among the big Fever fans. Which brings me to...

2) I'm all about kindness to animals. ALL animals. But I confess, if I'd been in the house with a bat (or even a bird) flying around, I would've freaked. Sounds like Larry and gang handles the bat remval well.

3) Bless you guys for your kind words about OUT OF EDEN. *sniffle*

4) Elle, AWESOME recs on the books. AS you know I'm a huge fan of the Fever series. You've perked my interest with many others mentioned!

5) Just now I'm reading 'The Strange Case of Dr. Jeckell and Mr. Hyde'. Yes, the classic. It's for research purposes, but that said, it's pretty darn riviting. I'm reading on my KINDLE and am so glad for the 'dictionary' funtcion. They used a lot of words then that we don't use now.

Happy reading all!
SIS BethBeth Ciottahttp://www.bethciotta.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650695048667568375.post-65106054548857985342010-04-05T18:09:24.634-04:002010-04-05T18:09:24.634-04:00Barb,

Just made it home safe and sound. Regardi...Hi all,

Just made it home safe and sound. Regarding the bat: We would have acted the same way had it been a bird, mouse, or superhero. The bat was an intruder and needed to be removed, especially since we had a house full of screaming, tearful children and some adults. We didn't kill it as some might think. Larry stunned it with a broom, we covered it with a basket, a sheet and then a box (had to be sure it wouldn't eat us) and then we put it outside. This morning we double checked to make sure it had escaped and it did. Yep, bats have a bad rap, but so do most creatures when they're found inside our homes.

Chris, thanks for the book recommendation. I'll be sure to look it up on Amazon!

SIS Barb aka Elle J RossiElle J Rossihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18242732693777191481noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650695048667568375.post-46416822965145218882010-04-05T16:27:24.390-04:002010-04-05T16:27:24.390-04:00Hi Barb

Maybe someday all creatures great and small can live in harmony and understanding.

Okay, off the soapbox. Stick to your guns, Barb, and call it like it is! I haven't read any of those books, and I'm currently reading Christopher Moore's book 'Bite Me: A Love Story'. If you like irreverent humor then this is your author. He has several other books out as well and he's definitely worth a read.Chris Behrensnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650695048667568375.post-60444679417570468632010-04-05T10:06:14.985-04:002010-04-05T10:06:14.985-04:00Yeah, my mom was definetly the biggest hero... the...Yeah, my mom was definetly the biggest hero... the woman that forgot her own kid. Yes, she forgot about shae as she ran into the kitchen to hide for her own safety. Also, cowering behind the door and afraid just to open the door to let it out. Good job momma. Good thing larry is good at baseball. He hit a home run and knocked the bat out. Without his swinging skills we would have never got that thing.

As for the actual talk about Barb's post. I don't reallly have any to recommend and of course I have not read any of those books.

Niece SydneySydney:)noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650695048667568375.post-39737420940214588472010-04-05T09:55:38.854-04:002010-04-05T09:55:38.854-04:00I would like to thank Aunt Barb for fixing that. There is internet access in this state, I just needed an excuse for my lame post! Also, they don't care for my yee-haw, but I refuse to apologize for that as I am a country girl at heart and my day would not be complete without a yee-haw or two thrown in.

So there!
